Each session focuses on a particular area of the body, exploring movements and postures that support flexibility, strength, and mobility.

Guided by Karen, you’ll be encouraged to approach your practice with curiosity, experimenting with variations and adaptations to find what feels most supportive for your body. This empowering approach helps you listen more deeply to your own needs and discover how small adjustments can enhance balance, strength, and freedom of movement.

The practice is suitable for all levels and is especially valuable if you’d like to nurture mobility that supports your everyday life. All equipment is provided.

Meet Karen

Karen’s yoga journey began over twenty years ago as a personal practice. Over time, this led her to train as a teacher and start to share yoga with others.

Since qualifying in 2020, Karen has taught in studios, gyms, and community spaces across Chesterfield, always with one clear aim: to make yoga accessible to everyone. She has gone on to study extensively, completing advanced training in yin, restorative, adaptive and trauma-informed yoga, as well as embodied movement and safe adjustments.

For Karen, yoga isn’t about striving for perfection. It’s about discovering stillness and finding your own way into each pose. We are all unique, which means that the shape we find for each pose is also unique. She lights up when helping someone find the variation that feels right for them.

In her classes, you’ll be guided to move with your breath, explore postures at your own pace, and notice how your body responds. Options are always offered, whether you want to lean into sensation or ease back, and her focus is on connection, not comparison.

Karen’s intention is simple: to give you the tools you need to connect to your body and breath and leave feeling calmer, stronger, and more at home in yourself than when you arrived.
