GOOD FOLC FUND
Helping to ensure that cost is never the reason someone can't come through the door.
Since we opened our doors in 2023, making our sessions financially accessible has always been a priority. For nearly three years, we've been doing that quietly, in whatever ways we could.
In Turkey, there's a long tradition of bakeries keeping a hook on the wall. A customer buys a loaf of bread, pays for two, and leaves one on the hook – no fanfare, no form to fill in. Just bread, waiting for a neighbour who needs it. It's one of the oldest expressions of community there is, and one of the simplest.
The Good Folc Fund is our hook.
It's a pot of money, built from pay-it-forward tickets and contributions from people in our community.
It exists for one reason: to help cover the cost of sessions for anyone who would experience significant financial strain if they paid full price.
Every contribution helps us to continue our mission so that cost never be a barrier to the Folc community.

Make a CONTRIBUTION
When you contribute to the Good Folc Fund, you're not just covering the cost of a class — you're helping to ensure that someone in our community gets to walk through the door when they otherwise couldn't.
It costs us around £8.40 per person to facilitate each movement or mindfulness session. Every contribution you make, no matter the amount, helps us keep that door a little wider open.
Give what you can. There's no right amount. Even a single session paid forward means someone else gets to show up.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
The Good Folc Fund is for anyone in our community who would be under genuine financial strain paying full price for a session. That might mean someone navigating a difficult period, on a low income, or simply at a point in life where even a reduced price feels like too much. If that's you — or someone you know — the fund exists for exactly that reason.

Our Elm pricing is already there to make regular sessions more accessible – but if you need more support than that, or would like to attend a course or workshop, we'd love to help.
Please get in touch with us directly at hi@goodfolc.com. -
No. Like our Oak and Elm pricing, it works on honesty – if you need support, just ask. We trust our community, and we'd always rather help than not.
-
We keep the Good Folc Fund in a separate pot within our bank account, which means we can see exactly how much is there at any time. Every contribution goes straight in, and we draw from it when someone needs support.
Every year, we share the impact of the fund in our annual impact report. -
We're a volunteer-run studio, so we aren't able to ring-fence donations for specific sessions or events. What we can promise is that every contribution goes directly into the fund and is used only to support people who need it.
