Getting to the venue
The farm is located at the very top of Edale Valley – the last farm before the open moorland of Kinder Scout. Once through the farm gate you are in a haven of calm and privacy, yet only a few hundred yards’ stroll to the pubs and cafes of Edale village. The official start of the 270 mile Pennine Way is just down the lane.
The address is: address is: Grindslow House, Edale, Hope Valley S33 7ZD.
Car: Open Google Maps here. Once you enter Edale signal is poor, so be sure to have loaded it up early. If in doubt, keeping driving through Edale village and then keep going through the private gate. It feels like you’ve gone the wrong way, but the end of the road is us.
Train: The closest train station is Edale Station. We can pick you up on Friday should you wish. Please include your travel time on the pre-retreat form, so we can plan pickups. We’ll also drop you off when it’s time to leave.
What to bring?
The weather is predictably unpredictable. So bring something to keep you dry and something to keep you warm in the evenings. As always, layers work best.
Some waterproof shoes or wellies are a good idea for when we go for a ramble. Naturally, bring comfortable clothes for yoga and movement practices. If you have your own mat, feel free to bring this too. Oh, a water bottle is handy too.
What will we eat?
We care a lot about food. Our private chef will be preparing delicious meals throughout the weekend. All designed to help you feel happy and healthy. Be sure to let us know if you have any dietaries on the pre-retreat form.
We will have herbal and breakfast tea available throughout the weekend. Coffee is sourced from Kickback Coffee, a local roastery we’ve used for years.
Where will I sleep?
You will be sleeping on a cosy, Premium Hypnos mattress with crisp cotton linens. If you booked a regular ticket, you’ll be sharing a room with one other woman. If you booked a private room, you have a double bed all to yourself. Rooms are split across the Hunting Lodge and Safari Tents, with bathrooms and plenty of toilets.
